چکیده

We consider two noninteracting two-level emitters that are coupled weakly to a one-dimensional nonlinear waveguide. Due the Kerr-like nonlinearity, waveguide considered supports---in addition scattering continuum---a two-body bound state. As such, models bath with nontrivial mode structure. Solving time-dependent Schr\"odinger equation, radiation dynamics of emitters, initially prepared in their excited states, is presented. Changing emitter frequency such two-emitter energy resonance one ranging from exponential decay fractional populations Rabi oscillations observed. Along detuning, dependence on separation investigated. Approximate reduced Hilbert-space formulations, which result effective and momentum dependent interactions, elucidate underlying physical mechanisms provide an avenue showcase features would be absent if did not contain nonlinearity. Our theoretical findings apply number experimental platforms predictions can tested state-of-the-art technology. In addition, weak-coupling equation based results critical guidance for development master approaches.

Decay of Rabi oscillations by dipolar-coupled dynamical spin environments.

We study the Rabi oscillations decay of a spin decohered by a spin bath whose internal dynamics is caused by dipolar coupling between the bath spins. The form and rate of decay as a function of the intrabath coupling is obtained analytically, and confirmed numerically. The complex form of decay smoothly varies from power law to exponential, and the rate changes nonmonotonically with the intraba...

Decoherence and Rabi oscillations in a qubit coupled to a quantum two - level system

In this paper we review some of our recent results on the problem of a qubit coupled to a quantum two-level system. We consider both the decoherence dynamics and the qubit’s response to an oscillating external field.

Rabi oscillations in a qubit coupled to a quantum two-level system

We consider the problem of a qubit driven by a harmonically oscillating external field while it is coupled to a quantum two-level system (TLS). We perform a systematic numerical analysis of the problem by varying the relevant parameters. The numerical calculations agree with the predictions of a simple intuitive picture, namely one that takes into consideration the four-level energy spectrum, t...

Rabi oscillations of a qubit coupled to a two-level system

– The problem of Rabi oscillations in a qubit coupled to a fluctuator and in contact with a heath bath is considered. A scheme is developed for taking into account both phase and energy relaxation in a phenomenological way, while taking full account of the quantum dynamics of the four-level system subject to a driving AC field. Significant suppression of the Rabi oscillations is found when the ...

A Diffusion Equation with Exponential Nonlinearity Recant Developments

The purpose of this paper is to analyze in detail a special nonlinear partial differential equation (nPDE) of the second order which is important in physical, chemical and technical applications. The present nPDE describes nonlinear diffusion and is of interest in several parts of physics, chemistry and engineering problems alike. Since nature is not linear intrinsically the nonlinear case is t...
